Continuum of Care

The Continuum of Care is an annual funding competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Continuum of Care funds come from federal McKinney-Vento Act dollars and are set aside to assist the nation’s homeless population through housing and supportive services programs.
Beginning in the 2010 competition for renewal projects, BAS-Net will now consist of 50% of project score (75 points). These points will be based on BAS-Net participation and data quality; including 5% or less null or missing data errors of Universal Data Elements; HMIS Client Records area being a true representation of clients currently being served by the agency; participation in HMIS conferences or education days and participation at user group meetings.
