The Homeless Alliance of Western New York has released the 2015 Homeless Alliance Annual Report.
Many of the homeless facts and statistics used in these reports are gathered through the HMIS BAS-Net (Homeless Management Information Services: Buffalo Area Services Network), which the Homeless Alliance of WNY administers. BAS-Net is a client-driven and confidential online database that allows for statistical analysis of homelessness in Buffalo and Erie County. Research derived from HMIS is then made available through this site, where it can be used for any number of purposes, including presentations or grants.
The more organizations in WNY that contribute to HMIS, the more accurate and complete the homelessness facts, statistics and information will be. If your agency is serving the homeless population but have not yet participated in HMIS, or if you have any question regarding HMIS or our local homeless statistic, please contact Christine Slocum.
