Much of the raw data used in these reports is gathered through the HMIS BAS-Net (Homeless Management Information Services: Buffalo Area Services Network),which the Homeless Alliance of WNY administers. BAS-Net is a client driven confidential online data base that allows for statistical analysis of homelessness in Buffalo and Erie County. Research derived from HMIS is then made available through this site, where it can be used for any number of purposes, including presentations or grants. If your organization does not currently participate in BAS-Net and is interested in would like to, please contact our HMIS Associate Rebecca Detlef.  The more organizations we have contributing to BAS-Net, the more accurate and complete the information will be.

The Homeless Alliance of WNY has recent released its 2011 State of Homeless Report: Annual Report, and the 2011 State of Homelessness Executive Summary.
