Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program SHOP funds are awarded to national and regional non-profit organizations and consortia to facilitate and encourage innovative homeownership opportunities on a national, geographically diverse basis through the provision of self-help homeownership housing programs. 9/06/2011
Rural Housing Preservation Grants he HPG program is a grant program which provides qualified public agencies, private nonprofit organizations, which may include but not be limited to Faith-Based and Community Organizations, and other eligible entities grant funds to assist very low- and low-income homeowners in repairing and rehabilitating their homes in rural areas. In addition, the HPG program assists rental property owners and cooperative housing complexes in repairing and rehabilitating their units if they agree to make such units available to low- and very low-income persons. 8/22/2011
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS This NOFA announces funds available for projects that address both: (1) direct housing assistance and service delivery to low income persons and families living with HIV/AIDS, including homeless individuals and families; and (2) comprehensive planning and coordination of local resources in meeting housing and service needs of the population. 8/02/2011
Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program Advance Notice The Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program (Program) supports metropolitan and multijurisdictional planning efforts that integrate housing, land use, economic and workforce development, transportation, and infrastructure investments in a manner that empowers jurisdictions to consider the interdependent challenges of: (1) economic competitiveness and revitalization; (2) social equity, inclusion, and access to opportunity; (3) energy use and climate change; and (4) public health and environmental impact.
